Salt Pigs

Salt Pigs are a delightful way to serve your table salt or specialty salts. Each salt pig is handthrown stoneware and is dishwasher safe. A 3" or 5" wood spoon is included with each salt pig, determined by best fit.

Every S.Marotta Pottery salt pig is handmade by Stephanie in her studio on Vashon Island, WA. Each salt pig is created to be unique and enjoyed every day. All salt pigs are one of a kind with slight variances in shape, top and opening. Spoon color and shape will be matched to best fit each piece. All pieces are glazed in a palette of beautiful colors that are sure to find a place in your home.

All salt pigs are made from either a white or dark brown stoneware. After being wheelthrown, each salt pig is fired once, glazed and fired a second time in an electric kiln to over 2100 degrees farenheit. If needed, salt pigs are dishwasher safe.
